A decreased appetite, or anorexia as it is called, is a condition where a person does not feel like eating a variety of foods. Loss of appetite could accompany any illness, right from viral fever to cancers. Reduced appetite results in weight loss. It also results in lack of essential vitamins and other nutrients. Poor appetite is a common symptom of advanced age, cancer (especially of the colon, ovary or pancreas), chronic disease, or medication side effects. Home Remedies Receipe :

Take a small piece of ginger and peel of its outer layer. Grind it and add a few drops of lemon, pinch of asafoetida and one black pepper, to form a paste. Have this paste in the morning, on an empty stomach.

Diarrhea is defined as the passage of three or more loose stools per day. It is more of a symptom, rather than a disease, where a person experiences an increase in the frequency of bowel movements, along with looseness of stools. Diarrhea can be acute or chronic in nature. The diarrhea that lasts from a few days up to a week is called acute diarrhea and one that lasts for more than three weeks is called chronic diarrhea. It can be caused due a number of reasons, which mainly include bacterial infection, viral infection, food intolerances or allergies, parasites, reaction to medications, intestinal disease such as inflammatory bowel disease, functional bowel disorder such as irritable bowel syndrome.

Home Remedies Receipe :

Dry Ginger powder ¼ tsp., Cumin seed powder 1 tsp, Poppy seeds paste ¼ tsp. Salt 1 Pinch and Curd 1 tbsp. Mix them well. Eat it twice a day.

Dysentery is an intestinal inflammation, especially in the colon, that can lead to severe diarrhea with mucus or blood in the feces. Patients typically experience mild to severe abdominal pain or stomach cramps. In some cases, untreated dysentery can be life-threatening, especially if the infected person cannot replace lost fluids fast enough.

Home Remedie Receipe :

Take 1 Apple, Cow Ghee 1 tsp., Nutmeg powder 1 pinch. Peel the apple and cook it.  Mesh it very well, add Cow Ghee and Nutmeg. Eat it slowly with chewing once to two times a day.

Loose Motion (Atisaar)

Loose motion refers to the frequent passage of stools which are loose and watery. Watery bowel movements are very common and are usually not very serious. It may cause loss of water and minerals from the body. Loss of water from the body can cause dehydration. It also results in weakness, loss of appetite; stomach pain etc. Causes of loose motion: There are many causes of loose motion. The important causes are food poisoning or infection by bacteria, allergies to certain food and foods that upset the digestive system.

Take 12 leaves of basil (Tuls) , and ½ tbs of Jeera. Crush it and take it with 1 tbs of honey. 3 times a day

Stomach Infection

Bladder infections are known as cystitis or inflammation of the bladder. Bladder infections are not serious if treated right away. But they tend to come back in some people. In elderly people, bladder infections are often difficult to diagnose. The symptoms are less specific and are frequently blamed on aging. Older people who suddenly become incontinent or who begin acting lethargic or confused should be checked by a doctor for a bladder infection. Most bladder infections are caused by various strains of E. coli, bacteria that normally live in the gut. Bladder infections can be quite uncomfortable and potentially serious.

Mix one teaspoon each of Olive oil and Garlic juice in a glass of warm water. Drink thrice a day before each meal.

Poor Digestion

Lack of Appetite

Take Hing (asafoetida) ¼  tbsp, Dry Ginger powder ¼ tbsp, Pepper powder ¼ tbsp, Piper ¼ tbsp, Ajwain (ajmo) ¼ tbsp, Jeera (anel seeds) powder ¼ tbsp, Shahjeeru ¼ tbsp, Sindhav rock salt ¼ tbsp, mix well and take one tbsp. with butter milk before lunch.

Poor Metabolism

Take 1 tbsp of Ginger powder, ½ tbsp Cow ghee & jaggery 1 tbsp. Mix them together and make small balls size of small marbles have it after each meal.

Peptic Ulcers

Peptic ulcer, also known as gastric or stomach ulcer can be described as small erosion (hole) in the gastrointestinal tract of an individual. It is the destruction of the gastric or intestinal mucosal lining of the stomach, by excess secretion of hydrochloric acid, which causes stomach ulcer. Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium that is passed through contaminated food and water, can also lead to gastric ulcer. Stomach ulcer mainly affects the nerves that surround the stomach area, troubling them in turn, which causes the ailing person to suffer from excessive pain. Burning sensation in the stomach area, usually in the upper abdomen after a meal, is a sign of stomach ulcer.

Mix 300ml Carrot juice and 200 ml Spinach juice or combine 300 ml carrot juice and 100 ml each of Beet and Cucumber juice, to make 500 ml of juice. Consume this daily.

Stomach Burning

The burning sensation in the stomach is a very common occurrence. Reports show that one out of four people suffer from burning sensation (dyspepsia)at least once in their lifetimes. A burning stomach pain can be a sign of problems occurring inside your stomach; problems like inflammation, alcohol abuse, gastritis, excess production of acid which causes ulcers or heartburn in your stomach's lining and overeating.

Take ½ tbsp. Jeera powder, ½ tbsp. dhaniya powder, mix it in 1 cup of water, soak it for whole night. In the morning filter this and add 1 tbsp. khadi sakar (crystal sugar) powder and drink empty stomach.
