Home Remedies Receipe :

Mix 30ml of cabbage juice with 1 tsp of honey. Apply the mixture on your face gently, every evening, to help your skin stay away from wrinkles.

Abrasion (skin Injuries)

Wounds comprise injuries that break or remove the skin (such as cuts and abrasions). Most small wounds can be treated successfully at home. Damage in the upper layer of the skin is called skin abrasion. In this case, the epidermis or the upper dermal layer of the skin gets injured, resulting in slight bleeding. Though abrasion does not leave a scar on the skin, it leads to a lot of pain. Generally, skin abrasion results when the skin gets in contact with or scrapes against a rough surface. Some of the other causes of skin abrasion are sports injury, falling from a height, accident, trauma and bed sore. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take a fresh Aloe Vera leaf. Slit the leaf in such a way that the inner gel is exposed. Apply this gel directly on to the affected part of the skin.

Acne

Acne is a common, chronic disease of the sebaceous follicle that primarily affects the face, chest, and back. Acne is an inflammation of the skin that causes blackheads, whiteheads and red spots usually called "pimples" or "zits." The most common type of acne is acne vulgaris (vulgaris means common). Acne affects about 90% of adolescents as well as 20% to 30% of individuals aged 20 to 40 years. Acne develops because your sebaceous glands are overactive. The hormones that are active during puberty also trigger your sebaceous glands to produce more sebum. In women, these hormones can also cause acne during the menstrual cycle and that's why women often find that acne continues into adulthood. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Coriander Seed ½ tsp.,Sandal Wood fine powder 1 tsp.,Vacha (Calamus Root) ½ tsp., Nut Meg ¼ tsp., Multani Mitti ¼ tsp.,Sandal Wood Oil 3 Drops, Rose Water 1 tsp., Lemon Juice ½ tsp. and Water to make paste. Apply this pack after taking steam every day or every alternate day.  When dry, wash it with cold water.

Aging Skin

Skin changes that come with age as we grow older which is natural : skin becomes rougher. Skin develops lesions such as benign tumours. Skin becomes slack. The loss of the elastic tissue in the skin with age causes the skin to hang loosely. Skin becomes more fragile. This is caused by a flattening of the area where the epidermis and dermis (layer of skin under the epidermis) come together. How your skin ages will depend on a variety of factors: your lifestyle, diet, heredity and other personal habits. For instance, smoking can produce free radicals, once-healthy oxygen molecules that are now overactive and unstable. Free radicals damage cells, leading to premature wrinkles.

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 2 tbsp. of honey, 4 tbsp. of milk powder and 2 tbsp. of warm water. Mix them all together. Apply it on the face and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash it off throughly.

Blackheads

Blackhead is nothing but a black bump or plug on the skin surface. it is usually caused by the accumulation of excess oils in the sebaceous glands duct. When the skin oils combine with the toxins released from the body, the pores get clogged this results in blackheads. There are many conditions that may cause, even worse, blackheads. Blackheads are higher in number when compared pimples or zits. They thrive in oily skin and get worsened when the latter is exposed to pollution. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 1 tbsp. turmeric powder, ½ tbsp. red sandal powder and 2 tbsp. of milk. Mix everything properly. Apply the mixture prepared from the above ingredients and rinse it off after ten minutes.

Blemishes

Skin blemishes and spots are a cause of constant embarrassment and help you attract attention for the wrong reason, wherever you go. Acnes, allergic reactions and over exposure to sunlight are some of the causes behind the blemishes on your skin and you must take the right steps to get rid of them at the earliest.  

Home Remedies Receipe :

Soak 6 almonds in one cup of water in the morning. In the night remove the skin of almonds and add 2 tbsp. of cold milk and make a paste of this. Apply this paste on the blemishes. Keep  it overnight. Next morning wash with cold water.

Dark Spots

Dark spots on face are usually a sign of skin damage which are typically caused by hyper pigmentation or the skin in that area forming excess melanin. Hyper pigmentation is caused when the skin has become damaged in a particular area. It causes the skin to produce excess melanin, making a particular patch of skin look darker. Hormonal imbalances like those associated with pregnancy can trigger this over-pigmentation of the cells. Excessive exposure to the sun can also cause the skin to start producing excess melanin to protect itself from the UV rays.

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 6 almonds and soak them in milk overnight. Peel off the skin and grind the almonds in the morning. Add one teaspoon sandalwood powder and half a teaspoon honey in it. Mix them to make a fine paste. Apply it on your face. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then wash it off.

Body Odour

Body odor is any strong or unusual odor related to the body. Sweating or perspiring is necessary to cool the body and is triggered by warm temperatures, exercise or physical exertion, or as a stress response to nervousness, fear, embarrassment or anger. Fluid from sweating in combination with skin bacteria produce the familiar odor recognized as body odor. Body odor is the unpleasant smell which comes from a person's body because of the bacteria growing on it. The bacteria release unpleasant smelling chemicals, which, in turn, cause body odor. These bacteria multiply rapidly in the presence of sweat and that is why people smell more when they perspire.

Boils

Boils is the name of a skin disease, which causes inflamed, pus-filled swelling, mainly due to infected hair follicles. The problem is usually caused by Staphylococcus, a strain of bacterium that normally lives on the skin surface. Boils mostly occur on the area where clothes rub against the skin or where the body rubs against itself or where the skin is sweaty. Neck, armpit, groin and between the buttocks are the most common places where boils occur. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take one onion and 3 clove of garlic. Extract the juice of both. Mix it well and apply it on the boil.

Burns (First degree)

Burn is the name given to an injury that is caused by skin's exposure to excessive heat, electricity, chemicals, light, radiation, friction or fire. Unpreparedness, fear, lack of knowledge and urgency are few aspects that can worsen the impact of mild injuries. Burns get classified into four groups. Depending on the severity it is categorized as first degree burns, second degree burns, third degree burns and fourth degree burns. Each degree of burns has its own level of severity and impact over the body tissues. While first degree burns cause damage to the top layer of the skin and get healed in a day or two.

Take one fresh Aloe Vera leave and cut it from the middle and place it on the burnt area.

Cold Sores

Cold sores can be defined as small, fluid-filled blisters or sores resulting from a virus infection. The blisters are usually visible on the lips, mouth or nose of the infected person. Apart from being ugly looking, cold sores are also quite painful and can last for a couple of days. The worst problem with cold sores is that the viral infection, which results in their occurrence, does not get eliminated by the body defences completely. The result is that they often recur, that too in, more or less, the same place. The main reason for the occurrence of cold sores comprises of the human herpes viruses. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 1 tbsp. of Liquorice (Mulethi) root powder, make it as a paste by using little water and apply it over the sore.

Cracked Uneven Heels

Cracked heels, one of the most common problems faced by a large number of women, indicates lack of attention to foot care besides mere overexposure or lack of moisturizing. In medical terms, cracked heels are referred as heel fissures. Fissures can be defined as regular linear cut wounds that generally affect the surface which includes the epidermis. On not being treated appropriately, the fissures might get deep thus making the skin bleed accompanied with extreme pain. Causes of Cracked Heels: Cracked heels indicate a general problem related to feet which can result from rough and dry skin. The most general causes leading to cracked heels include: ill-fitted footwear, diseases and disorders climate. The most common targets of cracked heels include conditions like extreme dryness on skin, flat foot and obesity. Cracked heels are commonly noticed to occur in senior citizens or people who are on their feet continuously thus putting extra pressure on the feet pad. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Blend turmeric, tulsi and camphor in equal proportions. Mix all these ingredients with Aloe Vera gel and make it in a paste like consistency.  Apply this paste on the heels and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash your heels with moderate warm water.

Cracked Feet

Dry skin on the heels and feet is a very common malady suffered by millions of people. That’s because they are the most used parts of the body and so they take on the pressure of everyday life. Improper care of your feet can result in cracked feet, especially around the heel. But the problem can be avoided with proper attention to your feet. Cracked heels are a sign of lack of attention to foot care rather than just overexposure or lack of moisturizing. Excessive pressure on the feet pads make the feet want to expand sideways. As the skin, surrounding the sides of the feet are dry they crack and cause cracked heels. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Kokum oil 50 gms, Neem oil 10 ml, Cow Ghee 10 ml, Castor oil  20 ml, Coconut oil 25 gms, Camphor 1 gm. Heat Kokum Oil and add Neem, Castor and Coconut Oil. When it cools down, add Camphor and let it settle in a jar. It will turn into an ointment.  Keep it in an airtight jar and apply twice a day on the cracked feet.

Dark Underarms

A dark underarm is a condition when the skin under the arms or the armpits as we know gets dark. Dark underarms can be the result of improper cleaning, sweating, dead skin cells and friction due to different types of clothes. Dark underarms may be accompanied by itching, sweating and bad odour. People with dark underarms avoid wearing sleeveless clothes. Profuse sweating and unclean habits are the prime reasons for occurrence of dark underarms. Causes of dark underarms are friction due to tight blouses and tops, excessive sweating, infections due to improper washing of underarms, shaving and itching.

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 1 tsp of lime juice, 1 tsp of cucumber juice and ½ tbs  of turmeric powder. Mix it well and make a paste of it. Apply this paste on your armpits and wash off after 20 minutes

Itching

Itchy skin can occur without any other noticeable changes on the skin, or it may be associated with: redness, bumps, spots or blisters, dry, cracked skin. Sometimes itchiness lasts a long time and can be intense. As you rub or scratch the area, it gets itchier. And the more it itches, the more you scratch. Breaking this itch-scratch cycle can be difficult, but continued scratching can damage your skin or cause infection. tching is the irritation of the skin. Dry skin is one of the prime causes for itching. Others include exposure or contact with chemicals, sunburn, cold weather, overexposure to water, insect bites or stings and hot baths. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 1 tbsp of honey and 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder. Make a fine paste out of it and apply this on the affected area. This would help in stop itching.

Wound Healing

Wounds occur when the skin is broken or damaged because of injury. The skin can be damaged in a variety of ways depending upon the mechanism of injury. Inflammation is the skin's initial response to injury. Superficial (on the surface) wounds and abrasions leave the deeper skin layers intact. These types of wounds are usually caused by friction rubbing against an abrasive surface.Deep abrasions (cuts or lacerations) go through all the layers of the skin and into underlying tissue like muscle or bone. Puncture wounds are usually caused by a sharp pointed object entering the skin. Proper wound care is necessary to prevent infection, assure there are no other associated injuries, and to promote healing of the skin.

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 1 tbsp. of Sesame seeds (Til ), 12 Neem leaves roasted with Castor oil and grinded with Turmeric and little Camphor, can be used as an homemade ointment.

Dull Skin

As you get older, your skin may lose its natural glow and start to look dull and tired. So does your skin’s oil production, which can leave your skin looking dry and rough. Your skin can also look patchy, as not all of your skin shows signs of aging at the exact same time.

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take ½ tbsp. Ajwain, mix it with ½ tbsp. jaggery and  ½ tbsp. Cow ghee . Take this three times a day.

Eczema

Eczema is inflammation of the skin. It is characterized by itchy, vasicular, weeping and crusting patches. The term eczema is also commonly used to describe atopic dermatitis or atopic eczema. The term eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent skin conditions. These include dryness and recurring skin rashes that are characterized by one or more of these symptoms: redness, skin swelling, itching and dryness, crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding. Scratching open a healing lesion may result in scarring and may enlarge the rash. Dermatitis symptoms vary with all different forms of the condition. They range from skin rashes to bumpy rashes or including blisters. Also, the area of the skin on which the symptoms appear tends to be different with every type of dermatitis, whether on the neck, wrist, forearm, thigh or ankle. Although the location may vary, the primary symptom of this condition is itchy skin. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 1 tbsp of turmeric powder and make a paste of 20  bitter neem leaves. Mix both and apply this paste to the affected areas.

Oily Skin

The human skin is blessed with natural oils, which are needed to keep it moist. However, if the naturally produced oils exceed their limit, it gives rise to what is commonly called ‘oily skin’. Stress can set off the production of cortisol hormone in the body, which is also responsible for skin’s excessive oil production. Oily skin is a common problem and the greasy nature of the skin often leads to the outburst of acne. The hormones of a person can play a huge role in determining how oily the skin of a person is or how oily the skin of the same person can be. In women, the menstruation cycle can be established as a cause for oily skin. In women again, pregnancy and menopause can be established as causes of oily skin. It is the hormonal imbalance that occurs during the stages of pregnancy and menopause that results in oily skin. Most women may not know this, but even birth control pills can cause oily skin. This is because birth control pills comprise what it takes to alter hormonal balances and this in turn results in the issue of oily skin.People who live in places that are extremely hot suffer from oily skin.Apart from the climate of a particular place, pollution too can be established as a cause of oily skin. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Mix a tbsp. of lemon juice with half a spoon of honey & a tbsp. of milk. Apply this paste on your face and leave it on for ten to 15 minutes before taking washing it off with cold water.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis meaning "itching condition" or "being itchy", is a common, chronic relapsing/remitting immune-mediated skin disease characterized by red, scaly patches, papules and plaques, which usually itch. The skin lesions seen in psoriasis may vary in severity from minor localized patches to complete body coverage. There are five main types of psoriasis: plaque, guttate, inverse, pustular and erythrodermic. Plaque psoriasis is the most common form and typically manifests as red and white scaly patches on the top layer of the skin. Skin cells rapidly accumulate at these plaque sites and create a silvery-white appearance. Psoriasis has been associated with an increased risk of certain cancers, cardiovascular disease and other immune-mediated disorders such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It is generally considered a genetic disease thought to be triggered or influenced by environmental factors. 

Home Remedies Receipe :

Take 3 tbsp. Cow Ghee add 3 tbsp. of Turmeric powder, 1 tbsp. of Jeshtimadh (Liquorice powder) and Sesame oil 2tbsp. Warm the ingredients lukewarm. Massage the affected areas with it.  Do it two to three times a day.

Skin Dark Patches

Dark skin has higher quantity of skin pigment melanin, as compared to a fair skin. The increased quantity of melanin also makes the skin look blemished and patchy. The most common symptoms of dark skin are that the skin colour turns to brownish to blackish. The effect magnifies if it is also accompanied with blemishes or dark patches on the skin. Causes of dark skin : hereditary factors, hyper-pigmentation, skin disorder, sun tan, liver disorder, malnutrition and sun sensitivity.

Home remedies receipe :

Take Chana dal coarsely powdered 1 cup, Masoor dal powdered ½ cup, Turmeric powder 2 tbsp, Sandal wood powder ¼ cup, Coriander seed powder ¼ cup, Red sandal wood powder ¼  cup, Cream of milk 2 tbsp and Milk enough to make a paste. Mix into a paste and massage gently on the dark patches. Leave for five minutes or until dry and then wash it off with warm water.
